Part one is completed online; participants will study six online modules covering the basic principles of ultrasound, focused lung ultrasound, chest sonography, ultrasound-guided procedures and focused cardiac ultrasound.

The Thoracic ultrasound certified training programme is a three-part programme designed to train qualified doctors to independently perform thoracic ultrasound.

The programme is aimed at pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, respiratory therapists, respiratory physicians, clinical researchers, radiologists, fellows and residents. However, knowledge and experience of performing ultrasounds is not required for this training programme.

This first part of the training programme can be completed in your own time. To progress to parts two and three, part one must be successfully completed. Participants should aim to complete the full training programme within two years.

A timed, 30-question multiple-choice assessment will then be completed by all participants to gain certification for part one of the training programme.

If you want to increase the water heater thermostat(s) setting(s), install thermostatic mixing valves at each point of use. The thermostat(s) on this water heater have been factory set to 120°F to reduce the risk of scald injury. Higher temperatures increase the risk of scalding, but even at 120°F, hot water can scald in a matter of minutes. If you choose a higher temperature, thermostatic mixing valves are particularly important to prevent scalding.
