With the hose removed from the reel of a cart model you should see that the reel is made of two pieces that are snapped into place at each end. To open up the pieces there are two tabs at each end that when pressed in with a screwdriver should allow you to pull that portion of the reel apart. Repeat this process until both halves are freed up. The rest of the disassembling is with a screw holding the crank side together, and several screws on the inside of the reel holding the hose assembly together. To reassemble just reverse the process.
