She is a former Board member of the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS); the former Executive Director and a current Board Member of the Asian American Action (AAA) Fund, a political empowerment organization; and a former member of the District of Columbia Commission on Asian Pacific Americans.

Born in California, Ms. Bueno is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and the Hastings College of Law. Ms. Bueno was also chosen to participate in the Coro Foundation Fellows Program in Public Affairs, a leadership program. She is a member of the California and District of Columbia Bars.
Irene B. Bueno, a Co-Founder and Partner of NVG, LLC, has over two decades of experience in Washington, DC working in and with Congress and the Executive Branch. Irene has substantial management experience and is respected for her ability to develop and implement successful legislative and policy strategies, working with Congress and the Administration. Irene has worked extensively with House and Senate Democratic Leadership; Committees with jurisdiction over health and Appropriations issues; and Members of the Tri-Caucus (Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Black Caucus, and Asian Pacific American Caucus).
Ms. Bueno, a former official in the Clinton Administration, was Special Assistant to the President in the White House Chief of Staff's Office and on the Domestic Policy Council. Prior to her White House posts, Ms. Bueno was a Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislation at the United States Department of Health and Human Services. She served as a Legislative Assistant for Senator Alan Cranston (D-CA) and Congressman Edward Roybal (D-CA).
