Thanks for the suggestion about fenugreek! I'll try stopping for a few days and see if I notice a difference.I use the 24 mm flanges but I just ordered 21 mm ones because according to the sizing chart on Medela's website, the 21's should fit me better.I pump both sides at the same time for 20 minutes each session and try to power pump about once a week. I usually only get one let down but occasionally I'll get a second.I also always have videos of my LO playing on my phone in the background as I've heard that can help to hear the sounds of your babe (plus it's relaxing to hear her cooing while I pump!) :)

hi, I use the pump in style and it works great for me. also, i used to take fenugreek and I noticed my supply increased when I *stopped* taking it. make sure you're using the right flange sizes, that made a difference for me. also, how long do you pump? do you get multiple letdowns? And how frequently?

I’ve been using the Symphony since my LO got here (end of Nov) and have loved it. I went back to work this week and using the Ameda Purely Yours there and def miss the Symphony.

I’ve also got an oversupply but not sure that can be entirely attributed to the pump, although I think it helps. I pumped religiously every 3 hours the first 7-8 weeks but have been able to drop a few pumps since then and still maintain my supply.

I had to get 21 mm flange for my right boob and it helped me to get multiple letdowns on that side. the 24 mm was too big and it was hard to get more than the initial let down. now I get 2 letdowns per side. I also pump one boob at a time for maximum suction. and I replaced the membranes with the flange and that helped with suction too. good luck.

I've tried Mother's Milk tea, Pink Stork Liquid Gold tea, fenugreek tablets, Upspring Milkflow berry flavored drink supplement, Milkmakers oatmeal raisin cookies, instant oatmeal daily, and TONS of water. Hoping that getting a better quality pump will help! Has anyone had any luck with the Symphony?

Have you tried power pumping? When I thought my supply decreased I started it and it made me overproduce so more to freeze. Also, if you’re getting a longer stretch from little one at night, pump once or twice within that window, too. I pump two hours after he goes to bed and usually get an extra bottle out of it.

I used the Symphony for a month to try to up my supply and it actually decreased! The Spectra is very very efficient at getting out milk. Sometimes though supplies are just low and don’t come up despite doing a million things

Should mention also, if I’m pumping and milk stops coming out, I hit the letdown button again. Sometimes I have to do it three times in a row and wait for that cycle, but it’s been helping me get 2-3 letdowns everytime i pump

I'm an under supplier and have always struggled with producing enough for my LO. We had to start supplementing with formula until she became a more efficient nurser and I was finally able to EBF. Unfortunately, now that I've gone back to work and have to switch to pumping, my supply has taken a huge hit and she's getting more formula than she is breast milk.I use the Medela Pump In Style Advanced and was wondering if anyone has ever tried the Medela Symphony? I'm thinking of renting it for a month to see if I notice a difference as I'm desperate to increase my supply!I've tried Mother's Milk tea, Pink Stork Liquid Gold tea, fenugreek tablets, Upspring Milkflow berry flavored drink supplement, Milkmakers oatmeal raisin cookies, instant oatmeal daily, and TONS of water.
