Intravascular Optical Coherence Tomography (IVOCT) Procedure: A Brief Overview Intravascular Optical Coherence Tomography (IVOCT) is a cutting-edge imaging technique used during cardiovascular procedures. Here's a concise guide to the IVOCT procedure: Patient Preparation: The patient is prepped for a catheter-based procedure, similar to angiography. This involves sterilization and local anesthesia at the catheter insertion site. Catheter Insertion: A guidewire is inserted into the artery, typically through the femoral or radial artery. The IVOCT catheter is then advanced over the guidewire to the target area. Imaging Setup: Once the catheter is in place, a flush of contrast media or saline is used to clear blood from the imaging field, ensuring a clear view. OCT Imaging: The IVOCT system emits near-infrared light to create high-resolution cross-sectional images of the vessel. The catheter is slowly pulled back to capture a continuous series of images along the vessel's length. Analysis and Interpretation: The captured images are analyzed to assess vessel structure, detect plaques, and evaluate stent placement. The high-resolution images allow clinicians to make informed decisions during the procedure. Catheter Removal and Closure: After imaging, the catheter and guidewire are removed. The insertion site is then closed, and the patient is monitored for a short period. IVOCT provides invaluable insights for cardiovascular procedures, enabling precise diagnosis and treatment. This advanced technique is a key component in modern interventional cardiology. #MedicalImaging #Cardiology #InterventionalCardiology #HealthcareInnovation #IVOCT #OpticalCoherenceTomography #MedicalProcedure #HealthcareTech

Revolutionizing Cardiac Care: The Role of 3D Ultrasound in Early Diagnosis The landscape of cardiac care is rapidly transforming with advancements in medical imaging technology, particularly through the use of three-dimensional ultrasound. This cutting-edge tool offers a non-invasive, highly detailed view of the heart, enabling doctors to diagnose heart conditions with unprecedented accuracy before they become life-threatening. A recent breakthrough study by researchers at the Mayo Clinic has demonstrated the effectiveness of 3D ultrasound in detecting early signs of heart disease. By using sophisticated imaging techniques, the study revealed subtle changes in heart muscle and valve functionality that were previously undetectable with traditional methods. This allows for earlier interventions, which can significantly improve patient outcomes. The use of 3D ultrasound also supports more precise measurements and better visualization of the heart's structures, which are crucial for planning surgeries and other treatments. Moreover, it enhances patient safety by reducing the need for invasive procedures and exposure to radiation. These advancements in medical technology not only signify a leap forward in cardiac care but also highlight the importance of continuous innovation in medical equipment. As we move forward, the integration of 3D ultrasound into regular cardiac screenings could potentially become standard practice, offering hope for millions of patients worldwide. #Cardiology #MedicalImaging #3DUltrasound #HeartHealth #MedicalTechnology #InnovativeMedicine #HealthcareInnovation #PatientCare #Armnewtech

Presenting DSA series captured on Innvolution Cathlabs Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) is a fluoroscopy technique used in interventional radiology to clearly visualize blood vessels in a bony or dense soft tissue environment. Images are produced using contrast medium by subtracting a "pre-contrast image" or mask from subsequent images once the contrast medium has been introduced into a structure. Hence the term "digital subtraction angiography". DSA is primarily used to image blood vessels. It is useful in the diagnosis and treatment of arterial and venous occlusions, including carotid artery stenosis, pulmonary embolisms, acute limb ischemia; arterial stenosis, which is particularly useful for potential kidney donors in detecting renal artery stenosis. DSA is the gold standard investigation for cerebral aneurysms, renal artery stenosis, tumor vascularity, thrombosis, arterial dissection, thrombosis, arterio-venous fistuala(AVF), and arteriovenous malformations (AVM). Innvolution Cathlabs redefine medical imaging with unrivaled precision. Renowned for its cutting-edge technology, it delivers unparalleled image quality—capturing intricate vascular details and dynamic cardiac images at the lowest radiation dose designed for patients and clinician's safety. This innovation empowers clinicians to make confident, informed decisions for superior patient care with optimum space and positioning for cardiac, neuro and peripheral treatment.
