Gymkhana’s two floors offer two distinctive looks and feels. The ground floor, resplendent in tones of jade green and polished dark timber, is inspired by the residential mansions of Kolkata and Pondicherry. Down a mirrored staircase, the lower ground floor references subtle elements of north-Indian architecture and a vivid colour palette of peach and Kashmiri chill red.

Located above Gymkhana is 42, our exclusive cocktail lounge. 42 is available for drinks and canapé receptions, and exclusive hire alongside Gymkhana.

All vouchers are valid for 10 months from the date of purchase. Please note that we are unable to offer extensions and all vouchers are non-refundable.

For larger groups, we offer semi-private hire of Gymkhana’s lower ground floor as well as exclusive hire of the whole restaurant.

In the event your dinner reservation is not honoured, your pre-paid deposit of £100 is non-refundable. Should your party size decrease at any point, the minimum spend for your original party size still applies.

Due to limited space, our cloakroom is reserved only for coats and jackets. Please note we cannot accommodate large items such as bicycles or any luggage.

Throughout the restaurant, an array of original Gymkhana features can be found, including hunting trophies from the Maharaja of Jodhpur and Grandmother Sethi’s barometer.

The restaurant bar, on the lower ground floor, specialises in our collection of Club Cocktails, which showcase the finest Indian ingredients and flavour combinations, offering a modern Indian interpretation on renowned classics.

No, you can use your monetary gift voucher across several reservations until you  have reached the total value. However, the full balance must be used within the expiry date, ten months from purchase.

Please note, all amendments are subject to availability therefore if you are looking to amend your party size this may not always be possible. For dinner reservations, should your party size decrease at any point, the minimum spend for your original party size still applies.

While we will always do our best to fulfil requests, all tables are allocated upon arrival and can’t be guaranteed in advance. Please add a note to your booking specifying your seating preference, and we will certainly do our best to accommodate it.

In the event that your lunch reservation is not honoured, or is cancelled with less than 72 hours notice, there will be a charge of £50 per person.

We have a good range of vegan options on our a la carte menu. Please note that we do not currently offer a vegan tasting menu, and our lunch menu may not be suitable for vegans.

During lunch, we offer our a la carte menu, lunch menu and tasting menu. During dinner, we offer our a la carte and tasting menu. Last orders for the tasting menu are at 13:45 for lunch and 21:45 for dinner.

We do not offer a takeaway or delivery service. However, our Gymkhana Fine Foods range offers a range of cooking sauces, marinades and chutneys for at home enjoyment.

We hold tables for up to 10 minutes. If you are running late, please reply to your confirmation text or email with your estimated arrival time. We are however unable to extend your dining time, so a late arrival may result in a reduced duration at the table.

Currently, we do not offer a corkage service but we do have an extensive wine list and a dedicated sommelier team that would be able to assist you on the day or evening of your reservation.

Cancellations or amendments to your booking must be managed via your confirmation email by clicking “Manage Reservation” or “Cancel Reservation” at least 72 hours before your booking.

Private Vault 40 seats a maximum of 10 guests in banquette style seating. Private Vault 30 is a semi-private vault, home to the Gymkhana wine cellar, also seating up to 10 guests.

42 is Gymkhana’s Mayfair cocktail bar, also located at 42 Albemarle Street. The cocktails are a showcase of Indian ingredients and nostalgic Indian flavours, served in the intimacy of 42’s distinctive lounge.

Located on either side of the Lower Ground Floor, our two Private Vaults offer the perfect space for an intimate dinner.

Yes, you are welcome to order both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian tasting menus to cater to your preferences. If you have any allergies or dietary preferences such as dairy, gluten, or nuts, we kindly request that you inform us in advance by including any relevant notes when making your reservation.

Children over 7 are welcome during lunch service and children over 16 during dinner service. We are unable to accommodate guests below 7 at any time, nor provide highchairs or accommodate pushchairs in the main restaurant.

Our diary opens at 6 am (GMT) and allows reservations for tables in the main restaurant to be made up to 2 months ahead. For groups of 6 to 10 guests within our dining vaults, reservations can be made up 3 months in advance. All availability is shown online.  Due to card details being required to secure your booking, we cannot accept reservations over the phone or via email.
