The National Health Mission (NHM) envisages achievement of universal access to equitable, affordable & quality health care services that are accountable and responsive to people's needs.

All special issue proposals must include the name and details of the guest editors, a detailed explanation of the topic, and proposed schedule. Each SI proposal will be peer reviewed before proceeding. Editor-in-Chief has discretion to accept or reject a special issue proposal.

Current Psychology is currently seeking Associate Editors to join the Current Psychology team, serving alongside the Editor-in-Chief, F. Richard Ferraro, University of North Dakota, the Section Editors, and other current Associate Editors.

The Guest Editor(s) will oversee the peer review process for each submission to the special issue. The peer review process for special issue submissions and non-special issue submissions are identical. A minimum of two expert peer reviewers will assess each submission, and reviews will be double blind.

Current Psychology welcomes special issues. The Editor-in-Chief may appoint Guest Editors for a certain topic, or potential Guest Editors may propose special issue topics to the Editor-in-Chief.

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance psychology research is not new, most likely gaining momentum with the connectionist revolution in cognitive psychology in the 1980s. Recent advances in machine learning have placed smart AI at the forefront of emerging methodologies across numerous psychology sub-fields and at the center of debates about the roles that AI can and should play.

This special issue is designed to highlight cutting edge methodologies in psychology that employ AI as a tool to improve the quality of authors’ work.* Submissions will be accepted from across psychology sub-disciplines with special attention to those who have integrated best practices in research methods with their use of AI. Authors are encouraged to share their code or make it available upon request so that their research is replicable.
