Colonies forming grey to pale brown ± elliptical leaf spots to 10 (-15) mm in length and to 5 mm broad.Anamorph: conidiomata absent. Conidiophores amphigenous, in large patches often covering most of the leaf spot, erumpent, with a circular basal scar 6–8 μm diam.; 18–32 × 8-10 μm, dark brown, erect, unbranched, the basal section 10–12 × 9–11 μm, subglobose, giving rise to a single conidiogenous cell. Conidiogenous cells 8–17 × 8–10 μm, ± cylindrical, finely verruculose, medium brown, becoming pale brown at the clavate, bluntly rounded apex, tapering near the apex to a truncate flattened scar 3–5 μm diam., not usually proliferating. Conidia 22-28 x 13-17 µm, ellipsoidal to clavate-ellipsoidal, guttulate to granular, with a single slightly supramedian septum, the upper cell finely verruculose and the lower smooth, slightly constricted at the septum, thin-walled, apex rounded, base obtusely rounded with a flattened hilum.Teleomorph: not known.
