A: I would advise students to get as much experience (even if unpaid) as early as possible to truly understand the industry and potential career paths.

“Rob (Hunter) heard about Auralex Acoustics and checked it out on the web”, says Branford. “He came across the MAX-Wall™, so we picked up a few to try. They are marvelous: easy to store, easy to move from session to session. We get high quality recordings every time, without the expense of setting up complicated sound control in every venue. We are now big fans of Auralex and will always use your products whenever we record.”  Branford Marsalis – Saxophonist

A world-famous movie director uses a sizable MAX-Wall™ array on his movie sets so he and his sound people can have a consistent monitoring environment. Another famous actor/director liked the first director’s setup so much that he got one for himself to use on his sets.  Both directors transport their MAX-Walls in custom flightcases.

“Every time we set up monitors, we used MoPADs™. I consider them a must. Also, we were able to create virtually any room size by using Auralex MAX-Wall™ around Kathy (Mattea) as well as drummer, Jim Brock.”  Mick Conley – Engineer

A: The experience with companies, working on real challenges provided a sound base for understanding dynamics across functions. Additionally the exposure to data analytics and the critical thinking skills have been critical to success.

Most MAX-Wall™ models come complete with MAX-Stands™. Plus, for those instances where sight lines are desirable, an acrylic window MAX-Wall™ panel is also offered.  Bonus Tips:  Position MAX-Wall™ panels behind you when mixing and you’ll be amazed at how much better you hear into the source material. Also, position your MAX-Wall™ a few inches out from the rear wall of your control room, where it will function as a very effective axial mode bass trap.

The MAX-Wall™ is a portable, acoustic treatment system with excellent broadband absorption, and a fairly high degree of isolation, by virtue of the thickness and density of the panels.  Its NRC rating is 1.05, it comes in three primary colors, and is available in a variety of sizes.  The patented, modular, interlocking design, allows for adjustable panel height and a gap-free enclosure that offers seemingly endless configuration possibilities. Each panel is 48" wide and 20″ tall, with a thickness of 4″.

A: I’ve had the opportunity to work/collaborate in several projects since I started my job. New technology implementation to provide better care to seniors, the development of a enterprise data warehouse, the deployment of a clinically integrated network in other state or a pilot to implement an early detection of patient’s with rising risk of opioids use disorders, which I think will help hospitals in the current battle against the opioids epidemic
